How this tool works
- Suitable input
- A readable PDF without password protection.
- Your download
- Enter the page and rectangle in millimetres. Left and top refer to the displayed page.
- Inspect the redacted output and try searching or copying the covered text. Also check other pages and metadata.
Practical example
A rectangle at left 20 mm, top 20 mm, width 50 mm and height 15 mm is blacked out on the selected page.
What to know before starting
Processed pages are rasterised and lose selectable text. The tool does not automatically check the whole document for confidential information.
Processing takes place locally. Large or complex files can need more memory; keep your original and check the download.
